Spring Break Bike Camps

Hang up your coats and break outdoors to enjoy some much needed time on the trails! Bike School Bentonville's 2-day and 5-Day Spring Break Camps offer mountain biking classes for all kids ages 6-13, from beginner to advanced skill levels.

Participants will be divided into groups based on ability, fitness, and age. Each day, they’ll explore the single-track trails in Slaughter Pen while developing skills and confidence on their mountain bikes. Our coaches provide top-notch instruction while fostering a fun and supportive environment. We are certain your child will gain skills, confidence and memories that will last a lifetime!

Ages: 6-13- Rider Skill Level: All levels welcome

Check-in at the Bike School Bentonville Field just north of Hidden Springs Dialysis Center (3000 NW A St, Bentonville, AR 72712).

We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the program start time to check-in.

Mountain Bike Skills 

During Bike School Bentonville Spring Break and Summer Camps, riders will be coached by trained Bike School Bentonville  coaches on a variety of mountain bike skills so they can become safe and confident riders. Fundamental Skills include:

  • Ready/neutral position for descending hills

  • Side/Side bike body separation

  • Pedaling/shifting efficiently

  • Controlling speed and braking safely

  • Cornering confidently

  • Handling obstacles and rocky terrain

  • Riding with vision

  • Ratcheting and momentum

Camps are available for kids 6-13 years old. Participants will be evaluated on the first day and placed into groups based on skill and age. For a full description of our mountain bike skill level progression, view the TRAIL KIDS MTB Skill Level Guide.

About Spring Break Camps

  • Mountain bike in good, functioning condition:

    Front & rear wheel disc brakes 

    Functional shifting gears

    Mountain bike tires

    *Bikes will be inspected for functionality & safety

    Properly fitting helmet & safety gear (gloves, knee & elbow pads, etc.)

    Appropriate seasonal attire (moisture wicking fabric in summer, warm layers in winter (no cotton), etc.)

    Closed toe shoes

    Riders must carry their own hydration & snacks

  • Camps are ages 6 – 13, beginner to advanced abilities welcome (we split into different coaching groups based on ability, fitness, age, and friend request – friends who are of different riding abilities may not be placed together).

    Groups are not final and riders may move groups as needed throughout the duration of the camp!

  • If the rider can ride independently on pavement, starting and stopping smoothly, braking with control; we welcome you to sign-up for camp!

Be a Mountain Bike Coach

We take the same approach with coaches as we do with our athletes - we are interested in whole-person development and bio-psycho-social well-being. We want to help people achieve their potential and build skills (on and off the bike) that will last a lifetime. We are committed to the ongoing development of our coaches and will have continuing education regularly.

We are creating a think tank for mountain bike coaching - a coaching center of excellence. We take a collaborative approach, working together to solve coaching problems and push the industry forward while creating life-changing experiences for the participants in our classes.

Bentonville is a city in Arkansas known as the birthplace of Walmart. Downtown’s Walmart Museum includes founder Sam Walton’s original five-and-dime store. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art displays work from the colonial era to the present. Its sprawling grounds include forest trails, sculpture gardens, and waterside pavilions. The Scott Family Amazeum offers hands-on science and art exhibits.
