BIKE SCHOOL BENTONVILLE

Bike School Bentonville in Bentonville, Arkansas, is dedicated to teaching both youth and adults the skills and safety needed to navigate mountain bike trails. They offer a variety of programs, including group classes, private lessons, and seasonal camps, catering to all skill levels.

Programs Offered:

  • Trail Kids: A six-week program for children aged 5-13, focusing on mountain biking skills development. Participants explore the Slaughter Pen Trails, building confidence and making new friends.

  • Spring Break and Summer Camps: These camps for kids aged 7 - 13 provide mountain bike coaching and fun during school breaks, accommodating various schedules to ensure accessibility for participants from different regions.

  • Private Lessons and Trail Guiding: Customized experiences tailored to individual needs, available for all ages and skill levels.

  • Adult Programs: For anyone over the age of 14, offerings include clinics, private lessons, group rides, and guided tours of local trails.

Founded in 2021 by Kyla Templeton, Bike School Bentonville aims to foster a community centered on long-term wellness and the development of confident riders and coaches.

MEET KYLA

A native of Oklahoma City, Kyla Templeton has called Bentonville home for the last 20 years. She has a BS in Industrial Engineering and Management, and a Master's in Leadership & Ethics.  She worked in skills management and training and development at Walmart and Sam’s club for seven years.

For the last 13 years, Kyla has made a profound impact on Northwest Arkansas by combining her love of community with her passion for cycling.  In 2012 she founded Girls Bike Bentonville, a nonprofit whose mission is to “empower women and community through cycling.”  She is also co-founder of the Arkansas League of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and served as the director from 2015-2021, helping to bring mountain biking to over 1,000 kids in Arkansas. 

Kyla is a USA Cycling Level 2 certified coach, a Level 3 NICA coach, and is is BICP certified. Kyla believes biking is more than just a sport - it’s a lifestyle, you can find her on the trails in Bentonville and Bella Vista all year long.
